Engineering Complex Phase 1

Project Description

The University’s School of Engineering is embarking on an ambitious expansion strategy that will see a doubling in student enrollment and faculty in the coming years. The growth is originating from three key areas: recently introduced Mechanical, Biomedical and Computer Engineering programs, increased enrollment in existing undergraduate and graduate programs and expanding fields of research especially in areas related to sustainability and innovation. The project is being implemented, subject to available funding, in two main phases to address all three areas of growth.

Project Description

As Phase 1 is being implemented, the University’s School of Engineering is expected to continue to grow at a rapid rate due to three key factors: on-going roll-out of recently introduced Mechanical, Biomedical and Computer Engineering programs, increased enrollment in existing undergraduate and graduate programs and expanding fields of research especially in areas related to sustainability and innovation. A doubling in student enrollment and faculty is anticipated in the coming years requiring the implementation, subject to available funding, of a second phase of construction.
